To secure their data by connecting four computer network. This project was developed by Robert Taylor and Lawrence Roberts. Then this project is connected to Stanford research universities of California to research on network (called Internet).

In 1970 Robert E. Kahn and Vinton Cerf developed Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) then it became standard internet protocol ARPANET. In 1972 Ray Tomlinson introduces first Email Network & during 1980 it became internet.

When Internet Started?

Internet started in first, January 1983 when ARPANET adopt TCP/IP suits.  Then researchers started work to assemble this network called “Network of Network” later in modern time it known as Internet.

In India internet service is publicly launched by VSNL ( Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited) in 14 august 1947.
